Coolify

Coolify is rapidly becoming the preferred self-hosted PaaS — cleaner UI than CapRover, better REST API than Dokku, and a broader deployment surface (any language, any Docker image, Docker Compose projects, databases). For agents: deploy apps from Git or Docker Hub via REST API, manage environment variables, trigger redeploys, and monitor resource usage. Let's Encrypt SSL is automatic. Single binary install on any Linux VPS. Confidence is docs-derived.

REST API at coolify.{domain}/api/v1. Resources: applications, databases, services, projects, environments. POST /applications creates an app ({projectUuid, serverUuid, name, gitRepository, gitBranch, buildPack}). POST /applications/{uuid}/deploy triggers deployment. GET /applications/{uuid} returns app status including deployment state. POST /databases creates a database service. GET /healthcheck returns platform health. Response: JSON.

Bearer token auth: Authorization: Bearer {token} header. Tokens from Coolify dashboard → Security → API tokens. HTTPS enforced. No OAuth2. Token-based with configurable expiry. Server-level API access for full deployment control.

Deployment status: poll GET /applications/{uuid} for status (running/stopped/failed). Build failures: logs accessible via API or dashboard. Database backups: scheduled via Coolify settings. Coolify self-hosted reliability: operator responsible for VPS stability. Coolify Cloud (managed) also available. Active GitHub with rapid feature development.
