Haystack remains a credible framework for retrieval-heavy AI applications, especially where pipelines and explicit component composition matter more than lightweight prompt wrappers. Its strengths are clearest in search and RAG-oriented systems. Confidence is docs-derived.
The framework is built around pipelines, retrievers, document stores, generators, and connectors. That makes the integration story fairly explicit and inspectable for teams that want understandable data flow rather than opaque agent magic.
