Kinde

Kinde is a newer auth platform that has gained traction specifically with B2B SaaS teams. Its SDK-first design and native multi-tenant organization model address gaps that older, more general auth platforms left underspecified. For agents building products on top of Kinde-authenticated infrastructure, or agents that need to interact with user, session, or permission state, it provides cleaner API access than retrofitting older auth providers.

The API surface covers user management, organizations, permissions, and session state with B2B-oriented semantics built in. That is more useful for product-level agent work (acting on behalf of users, reading permission state, managing org membership) than for pure infrastructure automation. The SDK coverage is broad across frameworks and languages.

Authentication is OAuth2/OIDC-compliant, which means it integrates with standard tooling. The management API uses client credentials for server-side operations. One advantage of the SDK-first design is that many auth flows are handled through well-tested SDK abstractions rather than raw protocol negotiation, which reduces implementation surface.

Kinde is a maturing startup-era platform, which means reliability is good and improving but may not yet match the track record of Okta-class incumbents for enterprise SLAs. For most products — especially those building for modern B2B SaaS — the operational quality appears adequate and the trajectory is strong.

Documentation is one of Kinde's competitive strengths. The docs are clean, current, and cover the SDK integration paths with enough clarity that teams can self-serve effectively. The multi-tenant concepts are explained in a way that helps teams design around them correctly rather than discovering the model through trial and error.
